Specchio magico Magic Mirror
● A pinewood board floats in the kitchen. It is the bathroom door of a tiny bedsit in Paris, measuring just 12.75 square metres, set in the middle of a mirror-covered wall. A solution that has allowed the designers of Miogui architecture to achieve two objectives: expanding the perception of the space and boosting the light in the living area. Originally, in fact, the bathroom was a square room with a window, of which one wall has been knocked down and rebuilt at an angle, bringing the window into the kitchen. To amplify the effect of the intervention, the handle of the door has been replaced by a spherical push-button. ■

● Graduating from ENSAVT Paris-Est in 2018, Sabine Fremiot and Léo Berastegui founded their studio in 2019, after experiences in Japan, Vietnam and France. Their first projects, on a small scale, honed their taste for detail, which is reflected today in interventions on a larger scale as well. “We are convinced that a design cannot be good without a good plan or a good section, which is why we focus our attention on drawings.”
