Eti­had Air­ways. A new era of lux­ury travel

Eti­had Air­ways, the na­tional air­line of the United Arab Emi­rates, is of­fer­ing the world’s first multi-room pri­vate cabin in a pas­sen­ger air­craft. We be­gin our jour­ney of dis­cov­ery in the Air­bus A380 and its suites: The Res­i­dence and First Apart­ment. The Res­i­dence by Eti­had™ con­sists of a liv­ing area, bath­room with shower and, for the first time in air trans­port, the ser­vice of a pri­vate but­ler. The role of the but­ler also en­com­passes the po­si­tion of concierge and maître d’hô­tel. A team of concierges su­per­vises all as­pects of the travel ex­pe­ri­ence, in­clud­ing the book­ing of li­mou­sine trans­fer, check-in and per­son­al­ized menu. With a size of 11.6 m2, The Res­i­dence is lo­cated on the up­per deck and is de­signed for up to two guests. The liv­ing area is fur­nished with a re­clin­ing two-seater sofa in Poltrona Frau leather, two in­laid wooden din­ing ta­bles and a chilled drinks cab­i­net. A touch screen unit con­trols the fold­ing foot­stool, light­ing, shad­ing of the win­dow, po­si­tion of the seat and mas­sage ac­ti­va­tion. A door and pas­sage­way sep­a­rate the liv­ing area from the bed­room and bath­room with shower. The bed­room has a Poltrona Frau padded arm­chair, 2-me­tre dou­ble bed with cus­tom mat­tress, side cup­board and wardrobe. The liv­ing room has a 32-inch LCD tele­vi­sion, while the bed­room has a 27-inch LCD tele­vi­sion. The com­mu­ni­cat­ing suite is equipped with broad­band in­ter­net with data traf­fic ca­pac­ity, live tele­vi­sion, HDMI and USB port. The Res­i­dence has Wi-Fi and a Pana­sonic eX3 en­ter­tain­ment sys­tem with video and touch screen de­vices. The fur­nish­ings are in con­tem­po­rary style with mod­ern Arab de­sign in­flu­ences.
