Pessere un eccesso di sciovinismo sostenere che l’Italia è il più bel Paese del mondo. Ma non è così. Ad affermarlo è un’istituzione

più che autorevole, l’Unesco. La quale nel suo Patrimonio dell’Umanità ha inserito ben 50 luoghi italiani, a loro volta spesso composti di una miriade di sotto-siti (si pensi solo al centro di Roma), a cui si aggiungono 6 Patrimoni orali e immateriali: un numero che sancisce il nostro primato mondiale in questo campo. Insomma l’Italia è un meraviglioso reticolo di magie, di “wow” paesaggistici, storici, artistici, culturali, di frequente lontani dai circuiti del turismo abitudinario. E purtroppo non sempre segnalati a dovere e in qualche caso anche mal conservati. Una ricchezza che va tutelata e di cui qui diamo un cenno. I 100 luoghi che presentiamo nelle immagini di grandi fotografi appartengono infatti a questa Bella Italia.

Italy is a wonderful network of magic, “wow” landscapes, historical, artistic, cultural sites, often far from the routine tourism circuits.
