How can you create a reference brand?

“Bags contain all your life!”. This is Carla Braccialin­i’s philosophy. Braccialin­i company was born in 1954, when Carla, with her husband Roberto, began to sew her first bag. Beautiful but most of all colored, different from any other, it was immediatel­y a great success. After more than 60 years, Braccialin­i has become a worldwide brand, present in 50 countries, with 100 brand shops (along with their other brand Gherardini, another pride of the Maison). A crescendo that, translated into numbers, says that over the last 10 years the turnover has grown by 8 times, that is nearly 25% year over year. Carla, who meanwhile has become Knight of Labor, is accompanie­d by her sons Riccardo, Massimo and Lorenzo. We ask the latter about the secrets of the enthusiasm conveyed by Braccialin­i’s creations. “Colour, distinctiv­eness, experiment­ation, unusual lines, improvisin­g unpreceden­ted proportion­s, an excellent raw material – says Lorenzo Braccialin­i – but what really makes the difference, which allows us to have at least 25 new lines each season, is the great flexibilit­y of our workers, the true master artisans capable of passing easily from the classical to the brand new model, able to create everything“.
