L’uccisione dell’erede al trono austro-ungarico, l’arciduca Francesco Ferdinando, il 28 giugno 1914 a Sarajevo, spinse l’Europa nel baratro della Prima Guerra Mondiale. A un secolo di distanza, nel programma del contestuale centenario del Comune di Forte dei Marmi, il Museo della Satira e della Caricatura presenta al Fortino una bellissima mostra dal titolo “La danza macabra della Grande Guerra” con opere satiriche dei grandi artisti del tempo provenienti dalla collezione di Lodovico Isolabella (fino al 28 settembre, tutti i giorni dalle 17 alle 20 e dalle 21 alle 24, ingresso libero). Si può raccontare la tragedia di una guerra di trincea, di sangue e fango, con le opere d’arte? «Sì», rispondono i curatori Cinzia Bibolotti, Franco Calotti e Linda Gorgoni Gufoni. «I grandi artisti satirici furono in grado di narrare il conflitto che trasformò in modo irreversibile il Novecento e combatterono la loro guerra con le armi sferzanti della satira, dando luogo a una produzione artistica che non ha eguali in nessun altro conflitto e che riuscì a svelarne le contraddizioni e le assurdità». Numerose e di forte impatto emotivo le opere esposte, di artisti come Mario Sironi, Alberto Martini, Ezio Castellucci, Carlo Bisi, Gabriele Galantara (fondatore del famosissimo giornale satirico “L’Asino”), Antonio Rubino, Filiberto Scarpelli, Golia (Eugenio Colmo), Cesare Musacchio. Tra i pezzi forti anche gli straordinari ritratti caricaturali dei soldati sul Carso di Lorenzo Viani, le inedite caricature che il famoso architetto Gio Ponti, arruolato nel Genio pontieri, realizzava su cartoline postali per gli amici e i rarissimi volantini di Giuseppe Scalarini.
