The queues for Florence’s museums and galleries can be horrific – two words, plan ahead. Either buy the Firenze Card (see Very Useful) or reserve your entrance tickets ahead (see Very Useful/ Firenze Musei) and you’ll reduce your queueing time considerably. Have your passport or driving licence handy if you wish to hire an audio guide (which can be shared by two), or for maximum enjoyment hire your own personal guide (see V. Useful).
