A new 100’ penned by Tagliavini

The new Otam 100 by Umberto Tagliavini was presented to the market at Cannes and has a concept centred around optimising onboard space to the maximum and minimalizing interaction between guests and crew.

The main deck features a large cockpit which, aside from an aft sun pad, also has two side settees and an 8-10 seater dining area. To create a large living area capable of integrating cockpit and main saloon, Otam opted for a very unusual solution: one of the two doors leading out onto the main deck is sliding while the other slides down and disappears into the bulkheads that separate the engine room and crew quarters. The lower deck has 60 square metres of guest space, separate from the crew quarters. Otam’s signature sportiness is unapologetically there too in terms of the engine set-up which spans twin 2600 hp MTUs coupled with Arneson drives.

Presentato a Cannes, il progetto del nuovo Otam 100, che è firmato da Umberto Tagliavini, è incentrato sull’ottimizzazione degli spazi e sulla minima interazione tra equipaggio e ospiti.

Sul main deck è previsto un grande pozzetto che, oltre al prendisole poppiero, prevede anche due divani laterali, oltre a una zona dining per 8-10 persone. Per creare una grande area vivibile capace di “integrare” il pozzetto e il main saloon, Otam ha optato per una soluzione particolare: una delle due porte di accesso al ponte principale è scorrevole, mentre l’altra si abbassa e annega tra le paratie che dividono la sala macchine dalla zona equipaggio. Sottocoperta, il lower deck occupa una superficie calpestabile di 80 metri quadri con area ospiti di 60 metri quadrati separata dal quartiere equipaggio.

Il carattere sportivo proprio di ogni Otam è poi evidenziato dalla proposta di montare due propulsori Mtu da 2600 cavalli ciascuno, accoppiati a trasmissioni Arneson.
