Lightness casts off

Tankoa Yachts was the first boutique yard to take a multicultural approach to yacht construction. Now it has presented a new concept that will definitely get tongues wagging. The new Tankoa 58-metre Open will be a light, powerful, nimble boat with a streamlined profile. The result will be an effortlessly graceful elegance. That said, it will have plenty of the kind of sporty allure a boat of this kind needs too. Many of the details about the 58-metre remain a closely-guarded secret but we do know that the new concept’s hull and super structure will be built from 5083 aluminium and it will have a generous 9.6-metre beam. It will also pack three 2000 kw MTUs which, it is predicted, will make a maximum speed at half load of in the region of 28/ 30 knots.

Tankoa Yachts, il primo “cantiere boutique” con un approccio multiculturale alla costruzione nautica, ha presentato il suo nuovo concept per un 58 metri che farà parlare di sé. Il Nuovo Tankoa 58 metri Open sarà infatti una barca leggera, potente e con un profilo slanciato che le dona grazia ed eleganza, senza però rinunciare a quell’allure sportiva, indispensabile su barche di questo tipo. Molti dei dettagli di questo 58 metri sono ancora top secret, ma di certo si sa che il nuovo concept di Tankoa, il 58 metri Open appunto, avrà scafo e sovrastruttura interamente costruiti in lega leggera 5083 e un baglio importante: 9,60 metri. Monterà tre propulsori MTU da 2000kW ciascuno e raggiungerà, almeno secondo le previsioni, una velocità massima a mezzo carico intorno ai 28/ 30 nodi.
