Designed by the Adragna Yacht Design Studio, the Portofino X from ICS Marine is technically a maxi-RIB because it has all the tubing. But in actual fact, it is much, much more than that as even the most cursory glance reveals. Stretching 11.8 metres in length and 3.8 in the beam, the Portofino X is, to all intents and purposes, a regular boat but a very new kind of one as its construction method has been patented. It is very fast (45 knots) with a deep-vee hull made from a fibreglass and vinylester resin sandwich and comes with a choice of inboard and outboard engines.
The amount of onboard space is so impressive that the Portofino X is the only craft in its category to have a dedicated life raft locker too. There is also an al fresco table that seats 6 to 8, an aft sun pad, a seat behind the double steering position and a swim platform. Below decks, headroom is a generous 1.92 metres while the six-seater dinette quickly and easily converts to a double bed. There is also a galley, of course. Amidships is a second double berth. The entire area is air-conditioned. The Portofino X is clothed in keenly sporty lines and exudes an air of power and aggression thanks in part to the large roll-bar that characterises its profile. Both interior and exterior lighting is LED while the electronic instruments are all this-generation. A gyroscopic stabilisation system can also be installed on request.
All materials and finishes are innovative and of superb quality too with carbon-fibre struts for the bimini, hideaway bitts and a high-end audio system just a few examples.
Disegnato da Adragna Yacht Design Studio, il Portofino X della ICS Marine è formalmente un maxirib per la presenza dei tubolari. Avvalersi di questa definizione sarebbe però estremamente limitante e, per rendersene conto, basta dargli un’occhiata. Lungo 11,80 metri e largo 3,8, il Portofino X è a tutti gli effetti una barca, tanto che il metodo costruttivo è stato brevettato. Veloce (raggiunge punte di 45 nodi), ha una carena a V profondo costruita in sandwich di vetroresina e resina vinilestere ed è disponibile con diverse motorizzazioni, sia fuoribordo sia entrobordo.
Gli spazi, a bordo, sono davvero generosi tanto che il Portofino X è l’unico scafo della sua categoria ad avere un gavone dedicato per la zattera di salvataggio. Esternamente dispone di un tavolo per 6/8 persone, di un prendisole a poppa, di una seduta dietro la postazione di guida doppia e di plancetta da bagno. Sottocoperta offre invece un’altezza di un metro e novantadue centimetri e dispone di un ambiente con cucina e dinette per sei persone, trasformabile con pochi gesti in letto matrimoniale. A mezza nave è anche disponibile un secondo letto matrimoniale. Il tutto con aria condizionata. Le linee sono sportive e il look generale è piuttosto aggressivo grazie anche al grande rollbar che ne caratterizza il profilo. L’illuminazione, sia esterna sia interna, è a led, la strumentazione elettronica è di ultima generazione e, a richiesta, è possibile installare anche un sistema giroscopico di stabilizzazione del rollio.
Tutti i materiali e le rifiniture sono innovativi e di altissimo livello. I pali in carbonio per il tendalino, le bitte a scomparsa e l’impianto audio hi-end sono solo alcuni esempi.
