Ripensare un classico, uno yacht che ha fatto la storia dei maxi open come il Mangusta è tutt’altro che semplice. Eppure sono bastate tre linee a Igor Lobanov per disegnare il più bel Mangusta Open mai visto. Presentato all’ultimo Boat Show di Cannes, il nuovo Mangusta 104 incarna la velocità , il comfort e l’eleganza tipica di questi scafi. Ma alla tradizione e al know how del cantiere aggiunge uno charme irresistibile. Il suo exterior design è essenziale e talmente filante che, anche da fermo, dà l’idea della velocità. L’innovazione stilistica più evidente è nel design delle murate, dove ampie finestre lasciano entrare la luce naturale nella suite armatoriale e nelle cabine ospiti e diventano un elemento distintivo di questo modello. Le vetrate sono totalmente integrate, un vero capolavoro ingegneristico: se da un lato assicurano la massima visibilità e luminosità, dall’altro non vincolano lo yacht, permettendo che sia costruito in Classe BV e MCA per la registrazione commerciale. Altri elementi distintivi sono il portellone di poppa con il suo design accattivante che enfatizza il profilo aggressivo dello yacht, e il sundeck che è perfettamente integrato e che si snoda attorno all’arco radar. Gli interni, personalizzabili a piacere, sono stati progettati per offrire lunghe e confortevoli crociere in Mediterraneo.

Redesigning a yacht that made maxi open history is no easy feat. And yet Igor Lobanov has somehow managed to craft the most beautiful Mangusta Open in history in just three deft pencil strokes. Presented to the world at the last Cannes Boat Show, the new Mangusta 104 is the embodiment of the speed, comfort and elegance typical of these yachts. It also, however, adds its own irresistible charm to the yard’s tradition and knowhow, thanks to an ultra-spare exterior design so sleek that even at anchor, it exudes a sense of speed and dynamism. The most obvious stylistic innovation is the design of the sides where large windows allow natural light to stream into the master suite and guest cabins, and have actually become one of the model’s trademarks. The beautifully flush windows are an engineering masterpiece in their own right. On the one hand, they guarantee superb visibility and light, but, on the other, are no constraint at all. In fact, the yacht can be built as Class BV and MCA for commercial registration. Other standout features are the captivating design of the opening transom which underscores the aggressive profile, and the beautifully integrated sundeck which winds its way smoothly around the radar dome. The customisable interiors are designed for long, comfortable Mediterranean cruising.
