Lineapelle is becoming increasingly more international, strategic, competitive. Considered much more than a mere industry event, it is a true “business experience” conceived and promoted by the Italian t anning i ndustry. Renowned as the world’s leading fair event for leather both under a commercial and artistic point of view, and for the whole sector that gravitates around it, its mission is to anticipate the market’s creative needs through the new trends that each exhibitor proposes according to its production volume and clientele typology. Receiving widespread acclaim, Lineapelle is thus characterized as a true global network and an important international event that from Milan, where is takes place twice a year within the modern spaces of Fieramilano Rho, relocates to London and New York with the exclusive previews of the f irst products for Fall Winter 201920. The f irst event to take place is Lineapel le London. On July 10, within the usual setting of the Ham Yard Hotel, exhibitors and visitors will be able to start new businesses and consolidate the existing ones, but also to examine in depth the sector’s most urgent themes with a series of entrancefree workshops on fashion proposed bytheComitatoM oda Linea pelle.
The second event is Lineapelle New York. On July 17 and 18 the Metropolitan Pavilion will be enlivened not only by the business exchanges between exhibitors and visitors but also by seminars like the one curated by Lineapelle Training, “Know your Leather”, that turns the spotlight on leather’s technical and productrelated features. Lineapelle London and Lineapelle New York are two fundamental steps anticipating the main event, Lineapelle Milano, whose edition number 95 will be held at Fieramilano Rho in September 25-27, 2018. The keyword for this edition, that promises to be highly creative, is ‘ innovation’, a term that will def ine several initiatives, projecting Linea pelle Milano in tothe future. The first one is Lineapelle Innovation Square, the leather sector incubator that will involve a selected group of international universities, research institutes and innovative companies. A meeting point to present case histories, illustrate analytical results, verify cooperation opportunities, develop brand new materials, explore modern properties and functions, propose new business models for the f uture development of the high-end and luxury i ndustry. In addition, from a strictly fashion system-related point of view, again with innovative development in mind, during the September edition a special exhibition space will be dedicated to the Creative Hub project to host startup companies a nd young designers l ooking f or v isibility.
