Message from His Excellency the Most Honorable Sir Patrick Allen, ON, GCMG, CD, KSTJ, Governor-general
For the past 40 years, Mother’s Enterprises Limited has contributed to the growth and development of the Jamaican economy through domestic production, employment, and food security.
From a small beginning, the Company has risen to become one of the major fast-food chains and caterers, providing meals and baked products to a wide cross-section of the population through the operation of its sixteen restaurants across the island.
Patties are an iconic Jamaican staple and multiple variants of this unique product have made it a ‘go-to’ item for generations.
The Mother’s brand of patties has endeared itself into the hearts and taste buds of generations of local and international food aficionados. The constant reinvention of menu offerings at the restaurants has proven the Company’s resilience and desire to produce healthy meals, thus responding to the changing needs of its customers.
Mother’s has not only built a strong company but also a tradition of excellence and commitment to nation-building through its corporate social responsibility, commitment to the use of raw materials supplied by local farmers, and the employment of a Jamaican workforce.
Founded by pioneers, Adrian Foreman, Carlysle Hudson, and Richard Foreman, Mother’s Enterprises Limited has admirably withstood the test of time and has created an authentic Jamaican brand.
I commend the Company on the celebration of 40 years of growth, hard work, and contribution to the development of Jamaica’s bourgeoning local and export Food Distribution Industry. I encourage you to build on your legacy of success as we work towards making Jamaica “the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business”.
Happy Anniversary!
