Message from Basil Naar, Board Chairman Mother’s Enterprises Ltd
On reflecting on the company’s fortieth year, I am reminded of the ancient symbolism of 40 years as a period of testing, trial, and finally, triumph. Although we are not resting on our laurels, I am proud to be associated with the company in this momentous year and would like to extend my felicitations to the customers, employees, management, and fellow board members.
I grasp the occasion to express gratitude to the past Chairmen, Adrian Foreman and Carl Chantrelle, for laying down the foundation and ethos for the company, which were imbued from the beginning and continue today. It has been deeply gratifying to have taken the baton and chairmanship from them, and to be challenged to extrapolate on the sterling job they have completed for this progressive and innovate company.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has presented a threat to us, our country, and all humanity. Despite the odds, I would like to assure our stakeholders that our strategic and action plans to cope and move ahead are firmly in place. We will do so by continuing to be action oriented, product innovative, process effective, and customer focused. This will be enhanced by the continuous and tireless work of our team players, who have contributed yeoman services to our success.
What matters most is what we do next. In the coming months and years, we have the opportunity to continue to innovate great products and solidify the emphasis of placing our customers at the apex of the business. Underpinning this will be a concentrated focus to improve all areas of governance and continue the healthy participation of managers and all team members in the business processes. I am confident, and have faith, in the leadership of management, who have demonstrated the timely insights and acumen to take us successfully through the next 40 years and beyond.
The fortieth year can be seen as the culmination of testing and trials and a year of triumph but for us, it is the start of greater triumphs in the ensuing years. Congratulations to all contributors to our success and a special salutation to our loyal customers.
