Tee time for Digicel CEOS at Caymanas Corporate Challenge

-

THE sporty side of Digicel Jamaica’s leadership transition will play out at the Caymanas Corporate Challenge this Saturday at Caymanas Golf and Country Club in St Catherine.

Incoming CEO Stephen Murad will team up with outgoing CEO Jabbor Kayumov at the annual golf spectacular that attracts players from some of Jamaica’s leading firms. Digicel Business is a major sponsor of the prestigious event.

Murad will lead a four-person team including Kayumov, Aubyn Ferguson from the company’s technical operations side, and Darragh Fitzgerald Selby, general manager for Digicel Business.

“The golf course is still a great place to tee off new relationships, deepen friendships, and reaffirm partnerships with our corporate friends. I look forward to the friendly rivalry and camaraderie on the green as I return to Jamaica,” Murad was quoted as saying.

Beyond the opportunity to reintroduce Murad, Team Digicel is seeking to improve on their nail-biting second-place finish at last year’s staging at the picturesque course that features long fairways, challenging bunkers, and some of the best caddies Jamaica has to offer to guide players.

Known for supporting some of the country’s most competitive golf tournaments, Digicel Business uses every sponsorship opportunity to promote and encourage more persons to get involved in the game. Earlier this month Digicel Business helped organisers of the annual Couples Tower Isle and Couples San Souci Charity Golf Tournament to raise $2.2 million towards infrastructure improvements at Three Hills Primary School in Charles Town, St Mary.
