JOCKEY Tevin Foster dominated Sunday’s 10-race card at Caymanas Park, winning five of the lot to underline his current status as the leading rider.

Foster’s winners were highlighted by an impressive run from last year’s champion two-year-old Int res tn times ahead, who overcame traffic challenges to win the 31st staging of the $1.75-million Prince Consort Stakes main event.

Int res tn times ahead was cramped for space shortly after leaving the starting gates and had a lot of work to do, but despite this the bay colt came on strong in deep stretch to win the seven-furlong (1,400m) event by three lengths. The Jason Dacosta trainee won ahead of Crown Chaser (Raddesh Roman) and J Spieth

(Reyan Lewis) in a time of 1:28.3 (24.0 x 47.4 x 1:13.2), while registering his third-consecutive win from four career starts.

The Graded Stakes contest for native-bred three-year-old colts and geldings was one of the major preparation races on the ‘Road to the Triple Crown’.

Foster’s other winners were Dancing Aviator, also trained by Dacosta in the opening event; Cotter wood Kathy, trained by Ryan Darby in the third race; Commander Z for trainer Spencer Chung in the fourth race; and Taurus Boy for trainer Philip Feanny in the 10th and final race.

With those victories Foster took his tally for the season to 43 winners, 16 ahead of his closest rival Raddesh Roman (27) who went winless on the day.

In addition to Dancing Aviator and Int res tn times ahead, D acosta saddled Hit N Run (Abigail Able) in the eighth race for three winners on the day.

Racing continues on Saturday.
