Portia is an embarrassment

-

THE EDITOR, Sir: SOCIAL MEDIA (the everyday people’s far-reaching forum) is far more sincere and true than its mainstream component, in which professionals are trained to twist and spin things according to their biases.

So politicians who are incompetent and corrupt will ALWAYS turn up bad on social media, hence the problems and dilemmas which have beset the ‘Pain Pee’, which used to look good when we only relied on mainstream media.

One problem the Pain Pee is having now are the many negative videos of Portia Simpson Miller (PSM). These videos are of PSM’s own doing. They don’t have to be doctored; they show her at a low. Young people seeing these videos are turned off, and even those young ones from her own party feel embarrassed. That spells continued trouble for the party. Worse, how can she compete with PM Andrew Holness for those young people with her many shortcomings?

The Pain Pee is relying on PSM’s popularity to win, but there is a cancelling effect that’s taking place.
