THE ALL NEW 2017 BMW X1 Functional, versatile, roomy

THE SECOND-GENERATION model has received rave reviews since its launch last year for its impressive new body design, which falls in line with the BMW Sports Activity Vehicle mould. The 2016 BMW X1 builds on the success of its predecessor by incorporating a more spacious interior, greater efficiency and cutting-edge technology.

Merging functionality and versatility, the new BMW X1 is the roomiest vehicle in its class. The more comfortable 2017 model treats passengers to an elevated view along with additional headroom and legroom. The driver-focused cockpit and high-quality surfaces define the interior of the BMW X1 as a classic sports activity vehicle. The flat surfaces of the instrument panel and centre console controls are angled towards the driver to help maintain control over the surroundings at all times, regardless of road conditions.

The BMW X1 also features a unique TwinTurbo fourcylinder engine from BMW’s new family of modular engines with maximum output of 228 horsepower, making it the most powerful entry model in the segment. An efficiency-optimised version of the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system, and newly developed chassis technology all help to palpably enhance sporting ability and ride comfort. Fuel consumption and emissions are also reduced by up to 17 per cent in the BMW X1. The model also offers a standard 17-inch run-flat all-season tyres with non-run-flat all seasons and a space-saver spare available as a no-cost option for the first time ever.

The change to the BMW X1 also brings significant advances in the field of intelligent connectivity. A new addition to the range of BMW ConnectedDrive features is a BMW Head-Up Display which, as in the larger BMW X models, projects driving-related information directly on to the windscreen. The BMW X1 now includes optional features, such as Active Cruise Control system with Stop & Go function, as well as a host of other convenient features that drivers will appreciate.

BMW M Sport fans can also opt for the upgraded package from ATL Autobahn, which unleashes the entire sporting potential of the X1, with the M Aerodynamics package and an athletic and sporty body style. Other lines include the off-road inspired xLine version, the more sophisticated Luxury Line
