THE MINISTER of Culture, Gender Affairs, Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange has expressed deep sadness at the passing of Supreme Ventures president and CEO, Brian George.

“Brian was a proud Trinidadian and also a great friend of Jamaica. He offered such outstanding support to Jamaican sports, culture, and other critical areas of national development, over the years. He was personally committed to Jamaica’s development.

“His passing is both a shock and a blow. We will miss him dearly. I extend condolences to his family and friends at this time.”

Brian George had been president and CEO of Supreme Ventures Limited (a lottery company) since 2003.

Under law, contributions from lottery companies have been used to fund sports development, early childhood education, health, arts and culture.
