STATIN and BOJ – an invaluable partnership

THE STATISTICAL Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) has, over the years, been an invaluable partner to the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ), providing high-quality data to facilitate monetary policy design and implementation. Further, STATIN and BOJ continue to collaborate on a number of projects and exercises aimed at developing and aligning Jamaica’s statistical practices, particularly in the areas of data coverage, periodicity and timeliness, in line with international best-practice standards.

The ultimate goal is to enhance the availability of data to support effective decisionmaking by individuals and entities at the level of the household, the private sector and the Government. BOJ congratulates STATIN on the attainment of 70 years of unbroken sterling service to Jamaica and its critical role played in nation building.
