Lion Marvin Grant welcomes Lions to the Mid-Year Conference
IAM extremely delighted to welcome you to the 28th MD60 Mid-Year Conference here in beautiful Jamaica, land of many acclaims, including home to the fastest man on planet Earth. I would like to extend special welcome to our very own International Director Lion Nicolin Moore, who has given up other speaking engagements just to be here with us. We are indeed very appreciative of this gesture.
This conference affords us another opportunity to experience the joys and importance of serving; of being a part of this noble organisation that is in its centennial year of existence. Let’s use this occasion to strengthen bonds of old friendships, make new ones and ensure that agape is felt by all. I also encourage fullest participation in all activities, including the workshops which are conveniently scheduled and involve a series of interesting topics geared towards the achievement of club sustainability.
This being the midpoint of another year of service, it is the perfect time for re-evaluation of our goals, plan of action, and to celebrate our many accomplishments with pride. It is my hope that at the end of this conference we leave fulfilled, revitalised and re-energised towards ‘climbing new mountains’ ahead and to continue ‘making it right’ in our respective communities.
