Seprod salutes a true icon

-

IT IS with a deep sense of joy for my distinguished colleague, Gary ‘Butch’ Hendrickson, that I say congratulations on being inducted into the PSOJ Hall of Fame. You are truly deserving of this honour.

While you have been named an ‘industry giant’, you have always modelled a deep display of humility, a commitment to hard work, a willingness to speak your truth, and the importance of not just doing well, but doing good. Thank you for being the nationalist that you are, for caring about your employees and others around you, for being forthright and insightful, and for truly valuing Brand Jamaica. You have the gift to see beyond the present and to embrace what is possible tomorrow without losing your fine wit and contagious humour.

Some men have been credited in the past with ‘walking with kings and yet never losing the common touch’. We are honoured to have had the privilege to witness that walk in you and to be able to honour you in the midst of it. Continue to be the exceptional leader that you are and shine your unique light of excellence! Hearty congratulations, Butch! KELLY TOMBLIN President & CEO Jamaica Public Service Co. Ltd ON BEHALF of the Seprod family, I wish to congratulate Gary ‘Butch’ Hendrickson on his induction into the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica Hall of Fame. ‘Butch’ has not only demonstrated incredible business acumen but, more important, he has shown everyone that the business community can play an integral role in improving the lives of all Jamaicans.

In a period when the country is desperately searching to find the keys to unlock growth, ‘Butch’ and his team at National Continental Baking Company (NCC) have been driving growth through innovation, tenacity and a willingness to invest in manufacturing. A true icon and a beacon of hope for Jamaica’s manufacturing sector, which has endured setbacks in the last few decades, ‘Butch’ has been one of the trailblazers, displaying passion and unwavering dedication in motivating the next generation of entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs leaders in various industries. We at Seprod salute you, ‘Butch’. May you and your NCC team continue to prosper and motivate the rest of us to aspire for greatness.
