BLACK FRIDAY is always the day following Thanksgivi­ng Day, which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Black Friday typically signals the beginning of the holiday shopping season. While Black Friday shopping used to be a late night to early morning venture, for better or worse, many major stores now begin their Black Friday sales on Thanksgivi­ng evening from as early as 5 p.m.

Top Black Friday 2016 Stores

Every year new stores fall in and out of the Black Friday fold. However, there are some major stores which command the most attention from Black Friday shoppers. Here’s a list of the very top stores which we can expect the most from this year for Black Friday:

WALMART

Walmart will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgivi­ng. Online shoppers are in luck as they can shop their Black Friday sale all day online on Thanksgivi­ng!

Aside from being able to shop in your PJs, shoppers have another bonus at Walmart this year. Walmart has increased their online Black Friday inventory by over 50 per cent, compared to last year, and more deals than ever will be available online.

Walmart is joining the early Black Friday sale frenzy and is allowing shoppers to purchase select items from their app. Shoppers can download the app for free in the iOS App Store or the Google Play store.

TARGET

AMAZON

Amazon announced that their Black Friday Week sale will start on Sunday, November 20. Whether you’re on the hunt for the perfect jacket or a new TV, don’t miss out on their hottest deals and discounts during this year’s Black Friday sale.

KOHL’S

Kohl’s has been dominating the early part of Black Friday Week for the last two years by starting their sale on Monday! This year is no different as they have announced that online sales will start on November 21. Kohl’s is known mainly for really great deals on a wide variety of clothing, but they have a good range of toys, bedding, and housewares as well. Last year, the Kohl’s Black Friday ad focused very heavily on clothing, with a good selection of housewares as well. Free shipping was available on any purchase over $75.

SEARS

Sears has a long history of delivering quality goods at more than reasonable prices. Now a department store with an internatio­nal and online presence, Sears was founded in the late 1800s. Sears offers everything from electronic­s to clothing to toys and is known for an excellent selection of houseware and appliances. Sears continues to deliver on its long-standing reputation with some amazing deals this Black Friday!
