Ocean Style Fash­ion Show­case prom­ises celeb-filled week­end

THE SEC­OND city will be abuzz with lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional celebri­ties once again for the ninth stag­ing of the Ocean Style Fash­ionShow­case Week­end, slated for Thurs­day, November 24 to Sun­day, November 27, with a se­ries of ac­tiv­i­ties en­cap­su­lat­ing the best of fash­ion, en­ter­tain­ment and golf be­ing of­fered in the Caribbean. “The Ocean Style Fash­ionShow­case Week­end re­ally gives us the op­por­tu­nity to stage a first-class se­ries of events that truly show­case the ex­cep­tional tal­ent that comes out of Ja­maica and the Caribbean. Over the years, the Fash­ionShow­case Week­end has hosted over 40 in­ter­na­tional celebri­ties who con­tinue to sup­port our events and spread the word about their ex­pe­ri­ence in Ja­maica. We are thank­ful to have the sup­port of our amaz­ing spon­sors and part­ners who con­tinue to be­lieve in our brand, a brand that prides it­self on pro­vid­ing guests with high qual­ity events and an un­for­get­table Ja­maican ex­pe­ri­ence”, Ocean Style founder Dou­glas Gor­don said at a re­cent me­dia brunch, held at the Se­crets Re­sorts and Spas. This year’s stag­ing will host an ar­ray of celebri­ties, in­clud­ing Black­ish ac­tor, Anthony An­der­son, Selita Ebanks, Bee­nie Man, George Lopez, Christo­pher Martin, Frankie Mu­niz, Vivica Fox, Don Ben­jamin and Liane V.

The week­end will start with the Dulce de Leche Lin­gerie and Swimwear Show on Thurs­day evening, fol­lowed by the ocean Style ‘Drive Into Lux­ury’ event spon­sored by Sagi­cor, at the Fairview Sagi­cor of­fice. Clients will have an op­por­tu­nity to sign up for a Master­Card Black or Gold card and, in re­turn, ATL will give them the op­por­tu­nity to test-drive a new lux­ury car and also re­ceive a dis­count of up to J$100,000 on the pur­chase of a new car.

LIVE PER­FOR­MANCES

Other ac­tiv­i­ties for the highly an­tic­i­pated week­end in­clude the Icon Award Din­ner, in which In­ter­na­tional reg­gae and dancehall artiste Bee­nie Man, along with model turned-ac­tress Selita Ebanks will be hon­oured with the Icon Award, fol­lowed by the Eyes Wide Shut All-White event that will be staged at The Rose Hall Great House on Friday night with live per­for­mances by Bee­nie Man and Christo­pher Martin.

On Satur­day, pa­trons will be able to par­tic­i­pate in the 8th An­nual Celebrity Golf Tour­na­ment at Cin­na­mon Hill, will which will be hosted by ac­tor Anthony An­der­son. This will be fol­lowed by the Ocean Style Fash­ionShow­case, fea­tur­ing de­sign­ers from Ja­maica and the Caribbean, in­clud­ing Rhion Ro­many, Lu­bica, Neahlis and Heather Jones, along with In­ter­na­tional mod­els Brodie Nero, Don Ben­jamin and Crys­tal Cun­ning­ham.

The week­end will close with a Celebrity Vol­ley ball Tour­na­ment and Beach Party on the Sun­day.

This year, the week­end will be spon­sored by Se­crets Re­sorts and Spas, Sagi­cor, JPS, Reg­gae Tech, Caribbean Air­lines, Audi, CaribShop­per, iCool, Mont Blanc, Trop­i­cal Out­sourc­ing and Magna.
