Clarendon records three murders in three days

SOMETIME AFTER 7 p.m on Saturday, Neville Scott, a 50-year-old labourer of Longwood District in Exeter, Clarendon, was shot and killed while walking home. According to police reports, upon reaching about 100 metres from his house, residents heard explosions sounding like gunshots.

Upon their arrival, Scott’s body was seen lying face down with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head and back. He was assisted to the Lionel Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

BAR OPERATOR KILLED

Earlier that afternoon, around 2:30 p.m, a bar operator was killed while at her place of business on Brent Corner in Palmer’s Cross. Lisa Thompson, 41 years old, was inside the bar where a patron was having a drink when a man reportedly walked up and shot her twice in the head before escaping on foot.

The police were called and she was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead. No motive has been established for that killing.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, a man allegedly shot his brother after they got into a dispute over a memory card. According to the police, 21-year-old Bendilou McKay, a resident of Bucks Common, was involved in an argument with his brother when a firearm was brought into play. McKay was shot in the head and back and was pronounced dead at hospital.

The suspect has been on the run since the incident.
