Chicken Soup with Pumpkin

INGREDIENT­S

1lb chicken back/neck (optional)

10 cups water

2 cloves garlic, crushed

6 pimento seeds

1lb pumpkin, diced

1/4lb yellow yam, diced

1 cup potato, diced

1¼2 cup cho cho, diced

1¼2 cup carrot, sliced

Sprig thyme

2 stalks scallion

1 green Scotch bonnet pepper, whole

Spinners

1 pack each Maggie Cock Soup and Maggi

Chicken Noodle Soup Mixes

1 Maggi Vegetable cube (optional)

Spinners:

1 cup flour, 1¼4 tsp salt, 1¼4cup water

METHOD

Add chicken back or neck to boiling water with garlic and pimento seeds and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add pumpkin and simmer for 15 minutes

Add remaining vegetables and seasonings with spinners.

Continue cooking until vegetables are tender.

Add Maggi Cock Soup and Maggi Chicken Noodle Soup Mixes. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Adjust seasoning with Maggi Vegetable cube if necessary

Remove pepper and serve.
