Falling Into Place a consistent number one

HAVING THE same set at the top of the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart and the iTunes listing of top reggae full-length sets is unusual, but Rebelution’s Falling Into Place, is a consistent number one on both rankings.

After that, though, the iTunes chart up to late Thursday night goes back to its tendency to have older collections and lots of Marley albums.

In second spot is Mr Lover Lover’s Best of Shaggy: the Boombastic Collection, and Rebelution, has yet another album at number three with, Count Me In.

It is all Marley from there to number 11, save for London McNamara’s A Dollar Short & A Minute Late, at number six. Legend (Remastered) is number four and Exodus (Remastered) in fifth position, both by Bob Marley and the Wailers. From seven to 10, in that order, are Legend (Deluxe Edition), Distant Relatives (Bonus Track Version by Nas and Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley), Kaya (Remastered) by Bob Marley and the Wailers, Rebelution Band. Welcome to Jamrock (Jr Gong) and Uprising (Remasted), yet another Bob Marley and The Wailers set.

Shaggy’s Hot Shot rounds out the top dozen.

There is more Marley in the top 15 as after the bonus track version of Matisyahu’s Light, at number 13, Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Rastaman Vibration is 14th and Stephen Marley’s Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life, 15th. Rounding out the top 20 are the Easy Star All-Stars tribute set Dub Side of the Moon (a reggae Version of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon) at number 16, Stick Figure’s Set in Stone (number 17), Rebelution’s Courage to Grow (18), the Ultimate Collection: Jimmy Cliff (19) and Catch a Fire (Remastered) by Bob Marley and The Wailers.
