JONATHAN GRANT HIGH

-

1 There is a mixed-breed mango tree that is anticipated by students all year for it to bear; then it is stormed or raided as soon as the fruit ripens, especially by the Manning Cup players while they are camping. 2 The school grounds has a octagon shape from a bird’s-eye view, so it’s somewhat unique – which separates us from other schools. 3 In most schools, an auditorium is established to host special events or activities; well, not Jonathan Grant High. We have a dome; our dome is our auditorium. 4 Mrs Simms is the most spirited teacher on the school compound. Well, at least that’s most of our opinion. 5 There is a special tuck shop. This tuck shop is special because of the person responsible for it. ‘Puss eye’ is the name of the man in charge – a very energetic and charismatic individual. We sometimes provoke him just to hear him slapping the counter shouting, “Weh di puss eye do unu!”

6 IMM is the most prolific DJ group at Jonathan Grant High. 7 Football is the most prominent sporting team at Jonathan Grant High. They came in the top five high schools in last year’s Manning Cup season. 8 Girls use the make-up available in the cosmetology room for their own enjoyment; wanna know what’s that? They play dolly house. 9 The principal, being a big fan of football, awards the Manning Cup team by treating them to some KFC whenever they win particular matches. 10Mr Burnsy, the school’s security guard, is required every day to put a smile on his faces, and bring humour to the school grounds.
