Samuels signs multimillion-dollar bat deal

-

WEST INDIES Batsman Marlon Samuels has signed a two-year endorsement deal with renowned bat makers C-A Sports.

The lucrative, multimillion-dollar partnership will see Samuels using the top of the range CA Plus 15000 Elite Player Edition bat, plus the CA Sports thigh pads and gloves until January 2019.

Samuels, an elegant middleorder batsman, will start using the bat during England’s One Day International tour of The West Indies from March 3 to March 9.

Danny Arshad, Head of CA Player recruitment, says he is pleased to have Marlon Samuels as the newest ambassador for CA Sports.

EXPLOSIVE CRICKET

“We are delighted that the West Indies’ Top ODI batsman will be joining forces with the one of the world’s top manufacturers of cricket equipment to bring explosive cricket to fans everywhere.”

Samuels is also pleased to represent CA Sports and the opportunities it presents him for helping to develop younger players.

“What I like most about my CA bat deal is that it allows me to select two youngsters, who will also benefit directly by receiving bats from CA Sports. This ensures that while I benefit at present, I am also helping to build those who will inherit West Indies cricket after me,” Samuels said.

Samuels joins a list of notable West Indian ambassadors, who have used the CA Sports bats, including Chris Gayle and Brian Lara.
