Busy schedule ahead for Burke

-

INTERNATIONAL MODELING success, Pulse supermodel Alicia Burke, kicked off the year with a new slate of assignments for top clients around the world, and there is no stopping in sight.

The triple Vogue cover girl (her Italian Vogue cover was a triple foldout feature) rocked exclusive couture in Paris and Milan, while shooting campaigns and editorials in New York. This, in addition to juggling options in Europe and America, many of which she will ultimately be unable to do because of conflicts of time and contractual obligations.

Burke missed her own party, hosted by her agency Pulse in January, as she was called away to shoot the new Ralph Lauren Iconic campaign, Part Two of a campaign she originally shot in 2016. Her exclusive collaboration with Steven Meisel is paying rich dividends, delivering Vogue covers and multiple Ralph Lauren campaigns.

Another coup for Burke in January was a Clinique contract, guaranteeing her multiple assignments throughout 2017, with add-ons anticipated over the contract period.

Immediately after Ralph Lauren, Burke did runway for Stella McCartney and Valentino, both 2017 pre-fall collections.

‘THE PERFECT CANVAS’

Not to be left out, models.com did its second shoot with the Jamaican beauty, photographed by Mariano Vivanco, as the online modeling authority, no doubt, prepares to rank the fast-rising superstar. Back in mid-2016, models.com declared Alicia “the perfect canvas”.

Then, it was back to Ralph again, as Burke shot Lauren’s Look Book for his new collection, followed by the couture shows in Paris and Milan. There, she made exclusive appearances for a handful of key designers.

Now back in New York, Burke prepares to shoot a number of assignments in between the busy show season currently in train. Such is the demand for Burke for both campaigns and editorials – the unthinkable is possible – she may have to miss some of the shows in Paris and Milan this season, given campaign offers too good to refuse.

The model Vogue declared to be “one of six bombshells taking over the modeling world” has a client list that includes French Vogue, cover and 18 pages of Harper’s Bazaar, Style.com, Ralph Lauren, Coach, Gucci, Prada, Bobbi Brown, Me & Em, Versace, Italian Vogue (twice), i-D, Benetton, The Sunday Times, Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, 1883, Top Shop, Bottega Veneta, Theory with David Simms, Clinique, Valentino, Lesley Goring, Harvey Nichols, Tush, J. JS Lee, Blumarine, Trussardi, Azzedine Alaia, Emelio de la Morena, Bora Akeem, Sibling, Osman, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Stella McCartney, Salvatore Ferragamo, Francesco Scognamiglio, Amanda, Schiaparelli, Self Service with Matteo Montanari, Elie Saab, Viktor & Rolf, The Last Magazine with Dan Martensen and Clare Richardson, as well as Double Magazine.
