REGGAE LOVERS, and especially fans of Live Wyya, can look forward to more positive music from one of reggae’s favourite backing-band-turnedshow bands during 2017.

Band leader Carl ‘C-Wyya’ Edwards, describes his band’s music as “clean, conscious, all-age” and suitable for everyone, kids and adults alike.

Spurred on by the success of the 2016 single – Like a Rock, Live Wyya is currently in studios adding finishing touches to an album by that name.

In the meantime, the band has released the single ColdBlooded Murderer, featuring Capleton, which is a follow-up to Like A Rock, and which, like the title track, will be among the 12 or 14 songs on the album.

“Tremendous things are happening

for Live Wyya,” Edwards told Entertainment Avenue.

“Like a Rock, which was done last year, is doing tremendously well ... it’s creating a blast overseas, and it’s growing slowly but surely. It really a gwaan.”

Edwards says that early reaction to Cold-Blooded Murderer has been quite encouraging, with the song being seen as relevant, especially in light of the violence affecting not just Jamaica, but other parts of the world.

“Everybody give we thumbs up for this song,” the bass player says.

“Everywhere we send this song, people say, ‘Nice tune! Nice tune!’ Everybody just love it. It a get a lot of airplay, and we give thanks for the support.”

Cold-Blooded Murderer was produced by Live Wyya Music and K-16 Records from England.
