A shining star at NCB

-

HAVING LONG recognised self as his only nemesis, Dwayne Harvey knows that only he can limit his ascension and so runs his own race with tunnel vision. His philosophy: “Be the best of who you are and the best of what you do.”

Driven by his motivation to succeed, Harvey started his career at National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) in 2001 as a filing clerk in the administration department. Over the next 15 years, he rose through the ranks, working in customer service, as a cashier, and then moved to the credit department.

Today, the 34-year-old business administration scholar is a business development officer and member of NCB’s elite Diamond Club. The club recognises excellence, celebrating persons across the NCB Group who consistently meet and exceed sales performance standards.

Still, Harvey’s most treasured accomplishment is placing among the top two for the Business Development Officer of The Year (2015-2016). A selfmotivated individual who endeavours to not only do what is expected of him by others, but also to exceed his own expectations, Harvey ensures that he gives his best at all times.

This he achieves by managing his time wisely and achieving objectives in the shortest possible time. He understands, however, that success is ultimately achieved by lifting others, and so consistently speaks positivity into the lives of people around him while motivating them to always do better than their last performance.

A family man – husband and father of two children – Harvey is a big fan of motorsports, spending most of his spare time tuning his sports car.
