Detoxing the ingratitude addict

Ingratitude in others is a turn off for even people who are uncontrollably kind at heart.

handouts, grant every favour that they may desire of us nor to ignore them. It may be more useful to turn the tables on them: give them a taste of their medicine, mimic their attitude toward them, etc., but you are creative enough to come up with some better strategies. Bottom line, we must help them.

Like it or not, we have a social duty to all humanity: good, bad and indifferent. And yes, we are all selfish creatures and couldn’t care two hoots about what happens to others, but “a nuh suh dis ting guh”, as a friend would say. Whenever we insulate and isolate ourselves from others because they are like a “pain in the neck”, we run the risk of “paining the whole body”. What do you think?

A little brawta of the Ten Commandments (not suggestions) handed to humanity on how to relate to God and man, six of them relate to man to man: you shall not murder you shall not commit adultery you shall not steal you shall not bear false witness against your neighbour

you shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbour’s.

Think on these things and be grateful everyday.
