Inspiring others

- SENATOR RUEL REID Ministerof Education, Youth and Information

IT GIVES me great pleasure to bring greetings on the occasion of the school’s 20th anniversary. In the life of any institution, a 20year milestone is a significant one, and your successes over the years have been commendable.

The celebration of this important milestone under the theme ‘Celebrating The Past: Moving Towards The Future’, is in keeping with the vision which the Government has for all levels of education in Jamaica. Education is an investment, and like any investment, it must generate the best return, which, in this instance, is the greater impactful development of our country. I am confident that given your school’s achievements to date, you will successfully meet this challenge.

Your growth and success serves to inspire others to dream bigger and achieve more measureable outcomes. At present, the population has grown to more than 1,270 students and 38 teachers, with students attending from the neighbouring communities. As the school carries out its mandate with dedication and dynamism, I am confident that many lives are being transformed in the process.

I am pleased that the school has empowered its students through learning and providing the widest sustainable access to knowledge and skills necessary for development. I commend the board of administration and the members of staff for their invaluable contribution and wish for you and your students many more years of growth and success.

I am pleased that the school has empowered its students through learning.
