RUGBY

SPANISH TOWN High is the only high school to win the under-19 Rugby League title for four years in succession and also the only school to win in all age groups. For this season, the under-19 lost their Rugby League tile to St Catherine High, and we are currently in the under-14 and under-16 championship, both league and union, where we are also under-16 champions. We also won the Under-16 nine-a-side competition put on by the Ligancy Dragons Rugby Club.

CHEERLEADING

Spanish Town High School made its first appearance at the Jamfit Cheerleading Championships on July 2, 2016. They were placed first in both the all-girls and co-ed categories and finished as one of the top three teams in the island. This gave them the opportunity to represent Jamaica and their school at the Worlds School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida, February 10-14, 2017, where they finished seventh in the Small Varsity category. Most recently, on April 8, 2017, they were crowned Co-ed Champions at The Jamfit Regional Cheerleading Championship held at The University of Technology.
