Recognising Jamaica’s finest visionaries
JOEL A. Barker once said, “Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world”.
Our theme for the 35th staging of the JCC’s Annual Awards Ceremony and Dinner, ‘Vision, Inspiration, Growth’, resonates with what differentiates the good companies from the great companies. The truth is, a company without a vision or the ability to visualise the future cannot inspire and create emotional connection to a cause greater than the job itself.
LARGER PURPOSE
In Jamaica and around the world, many millennials specifically want to sign on with organisations that have a larger purpose of work. Considering millennials will soon be 50 per cent of the workforce, leaders need to understand generational differences and the need to be visionary and inspiring to achieve phenomenal growth and success.
We are pleased to share with you some of Jamaica’s finest visionaries who will be recognised for excellence in meeting their corporate goals and objectives over the past year in the following award categories: Best of Chamber: Extra Large; Best of Chamber: Large; Best of Chamber: Medium; Best of Chamber: Small; Individual Chamber Member Award and the Entrepreneur Award. In addition to these categories, we have included the Yello Marketing Excellence Award, through our partner Yello Media (Jamaica).
In selecting a winner from each category, the overall performance of the companies during the year 2016 will be evaluated. This will include areas such as financial performance, business growth and innovation. These awards will recognise and reward the efforts of the nominated companies and their staff.
