Bites, Wine and Shop: THREE DESIGNERS, ONE NIGHT
THE WAY of life that is quickly being embraced by Montegonians, Wright Life, created magic with the ‘finger bites’ served at the Wright Style, Schatzie, MIJAN INHERITED Trunk Show last Friday night at the Fairview Shopping Complex, Montego Bay.
Showcasing their new summer line at Schatzie boutique, the three women behind these fashion houses – Pat Wright, Katrin Casserly and Carolyn Matthews – took women and men through their impressive collection at what they tagged Bites, Wine and Shop.
In addition to her regular line – The Wright Style – Wright, who has started an African print, cotton line which has been very successful, last Friday unveiled fitted and palazzo pants, pencil skirts and box pleat skirts and dresses.
MENS WEAR
The men were not left out as Bermuda shorts and fitted shirts were included in the mix.
“Every two or three months, there are new prints, and customers can actually order based on prints available and individual styles,” explained Casserly who wore a one of Wright’s dresses.
In the case of MIJAN, Matthews pulled from her trunk of contemporary sportswear and leisure wear collection designed for the modern woman of all sizes, whose active lifestyle demands clothing that is comfortable, fashionable and affordable.
Her collection can be found in hotel gift shops and boutiques across the island.
MIJAN, the brainchild of the late Michelle Haynes, was created in 1983. Haynes passed away in October 2015. In her honour, the company was renamed MIJAN INHERITED and is currently owned and operated by Matthews.
