ACCORDING TO style guru Alexander McQueen, “Fashion should be about escapism.” So this June, break away from the mundane and escape to the greatest runway to have ever graced our green shores – Caribbean Fashionweek (CFW) 2017.
On Wednesday night, sponsors, models, and socialites, all decked out in fashionable ensemble, gathered at the home of Porsche Jamaica to celebrate the launch of the island’s premiere fashion showcase. Paparazzi made sure to capture all the glamour on display as they mingled with familiar and unfamiliar faces, indulging in delectable hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of A-Bar Restaurant and Lounge, accompanied by an array of cocktails to choose from.
The formal proceeding was short and sweet, featuring the man of the season, Kingsley Cooper, saying a few words, along with his daughter Safia, followed by the sponsors. Then DJ Sanjay took over, encouraging all to relax and unwind to the pulsating beats. Zoe Griffith and her mother, Lisa, are the epitome of fashionable mother-daughter goals.
Deemed the Best of the Best, Pulse International is gearing up to deliver a stunning show-stopping week, boasting top fashion designs from Jamaica and the Caribbean, modelled by some of the fiercest ‘strutters’ they have had over the years.
