Captivating performances at Hard Rock opening
WHEN KY-MANI Marley appeared on stage at the Hard Rock Café Montego Bay on Saturday night, the audience stood at attention.
He never even needed to connect with the crowd that came out to witness the grand opening of Montego Bay’s latest entertainment and food spot.
Hard Rock was already rocking from the ‘heartstrings’ of musical geniuses Etana and Ikaya, Marley was merely the icing on a cake baked with musical love by house band Jam Vibez.
However, as Bob’s son reincarnated his music, through ‘Rebel Music’, electricity rang through the Viking Productions Montego Freeport location. He came to satisfy the soul and he did not disappoint.
PLEASING SET
He came to please and did just that, encouraged by hundreds who had waited on a long band change but had loss of memory by the time he made his presence felt. Captivating the women and inspiring the men, it was obvious he had received the gift of commandeering the muscles to move voluntarily
Before him, Ikaya had delivered unimaginable energy and Etana seemed bent on reclaiming territory she had lost during the Trump election. Both women brought professionalism, class and style to the event, accompanied by the great vocals both are renowned for.
Saturday night was night two of three days of celebration official differentiating Hard Rock as one of the few places with this type of entertainment in the tourism capital.
On Friday, Ocean Style hosted Let’s Funk, featuring DJ TopCat, and on Sunday, Revel, hosted by Dream Entertainment and featuring DJ Kamal Bankay and DJ Rusti.
Six months after opening its doors to the public, already Hard Rock Café Montego Bay, has become party central for many.
