The Cadet Corps:
Winners of the National Ruel Vaz Trophy 16 times.
4-H, Agriculture & Environment (broilers, apiculture, hydroponics, sheep rearing were introduced in 2014):
4-H Achievement – parish winner on many occasions. Boy of the Year – Abrahim Simmonds, now Governor General Scholarship recipient. National Girl of the Year 2012 – Akeera Gowie, now a students at UWI. 1994, Roxanne Mitchell named Jamaica Farm Queen while in sixth form. First school to export bananas; the school's farm is income-generating and is heading towards being completely self-sufficient.
Literary and Debating:
Won six national competitions, numerous public speaking and essay competitions. Irvin Forbes (CVM), Garfield Burford (CVM), Gary Allen (RJR Communications) and Adrian Brown (TVJ) and alumni.
Table Tennis:
Rural Female – 6 times Male – 7 times National Female –3 times Male – 2 times Won the first National Female Competition in 1964. Jodi-Ann Dattadeen is the first student to be currently on a table tennis scholarship at UWI.
Track & Field: 4 Olympians

Won Girls' Championships 1976 and 1977. Won Eastern Champs 1968 – 1978, 2013, 2015 and 2017. Three alumni are currently on high jump scholarships at UWI. Jodeen Wiliams is on a track scholarship at UWI. Titania Markland (former deputy head girl) is on a track scholarship abroad.
