A product of combined expertise and experience

CREDIT UNIONS have, over the years, played a vital role in the lives of many Jamaicans.

Through the safety and security of these community financial providers, many families have managed to grow their savings to meet their financial goals, even in the face of troubling financial times.

From sending children to college or universities, saving towards homeownership, to putting aside a little something to offset the expenses that come with the death of loved ones, or creating a nest egg for the senior years, credit unions have been there helping Jamaican families to navigate the shifting dynamics and challenges of our financial landscape.

RESOURCEFULNESS

The strength and resourcefulness of these community financial providers can be seen in the membership base of just over one million Jamaicans who save with credit unions, accounting for $73.8 billion held in savings accounts.

Gateway Co-operative Credit Union (2017) Limited, like many others, has been formed by the merger of two entities, which as one larger body, can now offer even better options for its members.

This fortified unit of Gateway Co-operative Credit Union will no doubt add greater value to the lives of its members through the products and services of a stronger, more robust entity; that is the product of combined expertise and experience.

With its membership base of approximately 70,000 and total assets of $6.1 billion, Gateway Co-operative Credit Union is no doubt poised to help its members ‘Open The Way To Their Financial Success’.

I wish the directors and members all the best in their future endeavours.
