TWENTY-ONE YEARS ago when ARC Manufacturing Limited was founded, the global economy was showing signs of weakness and new investments, locally and in other parts of the world were hard-pressed to perform. Despite the irritants in the global economy, under steady leadership, ARC managed to stay afloat and thrived; and today, as you celebrate this tremendous milestone, we salute your exemplary courage and wonderful achievement.

Jamaica, during the last People’s National Party administration, was able to lay the foundation for real growth in our local economy and we are confident that this groundwork will ensure the continued progress of companies like ARC.

The local manufacturing sector continues to contribute to our GDP and provide significant numbers of jobs for our people. The importance of companies such as ARC to the stability of our national economy cannot be overstated. In the 21 years of your existence, you have multiplied into other areas and added new dimensions to your manufacturing systems, like your lumber-treatment facility, the first of its kind in the region.

Our vision going forward is to build on the achievements of our past, improving critical frameworks, enforcing better and more useful fiscal policies so that not only will companies like ARC continue to thrive, but be able to offer more services and expand their operations even beyond local shores.
