What would you like to see achieved at the inaugural gas conference?

-

Camille Taylor – manager, corporate communications, PCJ

We are excited to be at the dawn of a new industry that we think is going to bring significant benefits and opportunities to Jamaica, and we encourage everybody to get in on the ground floor.

Hopeton Heron – deputy director general, OUR

The conference is broad based. It looks at the technical aspects, the investments, financing, taxation, legal, regulatory aspects of making the gas industry work, and I think everybody should take interest and make this conference a success.

Ricardo Nuncio – managing director, Red Stripe

It’s us taking a leap of faith towards LNG, which will promote and give other people in the private sector confidence in the future of LNG. I think it’s the right way to do it.

Don Gittens – manager, logistics & emerging markets

We need to keep the conversation around LNG, energy, and investment in energy going, and this will give us a platform where we can do that.

Paul Aiken – head of the Electronics Unit, University of the West Indies

The UWI fully supports the move to new technologies in low-cost energy supplies using LNG. We partner with the various suppliers so we can reduce costs to students, attract more students, and generate a larger workforce for the country.
