THE NESTLÉ MILO one-day tournament is on next Sunday, September 17 at the Football Factory on Shortwood Road.

Set to kick-off at 9 a.m. the tournament will showcase the skills of players from the KSAFA Under-13 competition. Five of the best players will win a trip to the Barcelona Camp Nou Experience from October 16-18 this year.

Nestlé MILO created this pathway for young football enthusiasts to excel and enjoy the unique experience of playing at world-class facilities where the likes of football icons like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and many others have thrilled millions of fans.

The four-year deal signed between Nestlé Milo and FC Barcelona will afford the world’s MILO fans the opportunity to visit FC Barcelona’s headquarters and training facilities and receive coaching from FC Barcelona coaches in a series of sports clinics. The agreement is based on a shared vision to promote healthier lifestyles through physical activity among children, especially during their foundation stage: 7 to 12 years old.

Raymond ‘Sean’ Wallace, marketing manager at Nestle Jamaica spoke passionately about the opportunity, “this is part of the strength of having global companies such as Nestle in Jamaica. The youngsters selected will get the coveted opportunity to join with young football enthusiasts from other countries, parade their skills and possibly form friendships at Camp Nou.”

He also spoke of the local Nestle MILO sponsorship of the KSAFA Under-13 Football competition stating, “MILO is all about encouraging an active lifestyle among children through nutrition and physical activity.

The Barcelona Experience will add a bigger dimension to the experience for the five youngsters who win on Sunday, and we hope to see numerous parents and extended family members cheering for them.”
