FOR THE last 45 years, the St Elizabeth Co-operative Credit Union has demonstrat­ed business excellence at the highest standards. This milestone achievemen­t could not have happened without the vision, hard work and dedication of past and present staff members.

Historical­ly, credit unions have survived harsh economic periods, providing financial security for its members while advancing the country’s economic developmen­t.

The Government is moving to implement regulatory policies to strengthen credit unions, while ensuring that the nature of the co-operative movement is not undermined. Over the years, credit unions have served the people of Jamaica well and will continue to do so for many more years to come.
