Continue on your mission
THE ST Elizabeth Co-operative Credit Union Limited (STECCUL) has been an integral part of the fabric of the parish of St Elizabeth and its environs, and I congratulate the company on the occasion of its 45th anniversary.
Throughout its tenure, STECCUL has exemplified itself as a financial co-operative with an objective to not only serve its members, but also foster community development by improving the socioeconomic standard of its members and their families.
I commend STECCUL for the role it has played in transforming budding businesspersons into entrepreneurs, students into scholars, and for its stalwart support of the farmers in our breadbasket parish, many of whom have successfully expanded from subsistence to commercial farming due to STECCUL’s support.
The institution’s own growth can be measured not only by the three branches and head office it now operates or its assets base, but through its integration into the lives of those it serves.
Technological adoption and the willingness to evolve over the years have also allowed STECCUL to improve its offerings to the public while maintaining the commitment given by its forefathers to successive generations.
The company’s role in assisting the basic schools, youth clubs and sporting competitions within its environs attests to its commitments to community and national development.
I take this opportunity to wish STECCUL and its staff continued success as the company seeks to continue with its mission of ‘Changing Lives, Building Communities.’ AUDLEY SHAW Minister of Finance and the Public Service
