An invaluable partnership

THE ST Elizabeth Credit Union (STECCU) is one of the greatest entities in Jamaica. The partnerships they have formed across the parish are invaluable and Bright River has greatly benefited from their mission and assistance. The following are areas that Bright River has especially advanced due to the help and collaboration with STECCU:

Sensitise the start of Bright River Cooperative Society Limited in 2005.

Training for the roles and responsibilities of the executive board.

Meeting conduct and procedures training.

Business practices and financial literacy.

Encouraged Bright River to get involved with NUCS.

Invitation to attend the first meeting with New Building Cooperative and Red Stripe in 2011.

Sponsorship of Bright River to attend the Conference of the World International Year of the Cooperatives in 2012.

Loans for farmers to meet necessary markets.

Hosting of the St Elizabeth Business Development Association.
