The foodie team comprises Davina Laylor, Justine-Renee Jarrett and Burchell Gordon. They will be giving viewers the chance to see firsthand some of the best locations to dine during Restaurant Week. Each week, the Gleaner Online will give its viewers the opportunity to determine the location of the next RestauranTour. To vote in the Gleaner Online Restaurant Week poll, visit

Justine-Renee will be giving weekly style and beauty tips to get the fashionable foodies prepared for Restaurant Week. A bonus about Restaurant Week is the JN Bank Dine Sip & Swipe Promotion! Once you dine during Restaurant Week and use your JN Visa Credit Card, you can have a chance to win a trip for two to the Food Network Wine & Food Festival in South Beach! Visit jnbank.com for more information. The team was treated to a foodie’s delight in beautiful Ocho Rios at Evita’s Italian Restaurant, run by owner Mrs Eva Myers for over 30 years. Mrs Myers’ warmth could only be paralleled by the breathtaking ambience of the restaurant itself, boasting a delectable offering of fine Italian and fusion cuisine in an authentic Jamaican setting overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The vintage buggy, the monstrous koi, oversized flower pots, rustic setting and blooming orchids set the charming tone for fine dining. The RestauranTour gang was treated to a sumptuous threecourse meal, which all RW participants will get at a discounted rate – from appetisers like Jamaica’s Viagra conch fritters and smoked marlin bruschetta, to entrees like Contessa – pasta with shrimp, lobster meat and lobster in tail, Pork Chop Tropicale – smoked pork chop topped with a pineapple, onions and honey spicy salsa and Jamaica Curry Supreme shrimp, chicken breast in curry mango-chutney in white wine sauce.

The RestauranTour team definitely gives Evita’s a thumbs up for excellent service and a wonderful array of scrumptious food! Where will they visit next? That’s up to you ... your vote counts. Remember to cast your vote at
