THE HIGHLY anticipate­d starting match-ups in the ISSA/FLOW Super Cup 2017, presented by Coca-Cola, were decided during Thursday night’s fourth annual draw at the ATL Audi Showroom on Oxford Road.

The pairings see a grand battle brewing between teams from the ISSA/FLOW Manning and daCosta Cup competitio­ns come November 10 and 11. The draw saw four seeded teams from both competitio­ns (Manning Cup and daCosta Cup) pitted against four unseeded teams in the firstround action scheduled for a Super MoBay Weekend at the Montego Bay Sports Complex in St James.

The seeded teams are Kingston College, Jamaica College, Clarendon College, and St Elizabeth Technical (STETHS), while the unseeded teams are St Andrew Technical (STATHS), Calabar High, Dinthill Technical and Rusea’s High.

The following schedule for the opening weekend was also confirmed: Friday, November 10 5 p.m: Calabar vs Clarendon College 7 p.m: STATHS vs STETHS Saturday, November 11 5 p.m: Jamaica College vs Dinthill High 7 p.m: Kingston College vs Rusea’s High Gates will open at 3 p.m. Speaking on behalf of main organisers and sponsors FLOW, Vice-president of Marketing Carlo Redwood shared that “This could be the greatest Super Cup tournament yet.”

Dubbed the Champions League of schoolboy football, the three-week-long competitio­n continues to improve in both support and execution, Redwood said.

He further announced changes to the competitio­n’s rules that will eliminate extra playing time and see matches proceeding to a penalty shootout if no winner is determined after regulation time.

Coverage of the 2017

tournament will be aired live and exclusivel­y on FLOW Sports (Channel 690) and streamed live online via the FLOW Sports mobile applicatio­n, starting on November 11.

Redwood also announced that coverage of the matches slated for November 10 will be available on FLOW’s YouTube page and via radio broadcast.

Entry fees for the opening weekend are $500 for bleachers and $1,000 for grandstand.

Presold tickets will be available in Kingston on November 8 and 9 at the FLOW Carlton Store (47 Half-Way Tree Road), and in Montego Bay, from November 8-11, at the FLOW Fairview Store. Tickets will also be sold at the old Cars to Go office located across from Mega Mart Montego Bay, in proximity to the Montego Bay Sports Complex.

No tickets will be sold at the venue.
