THE MOBO Awards have revealed their 2017 performers, with US sensation Cardi B among the first names announced.

The Bronx rap star became the first female rapper in 19 years to top the Billboard Hot 100 with a solo hit. Her breakout smash, Bodak Yellow, is the unmistakable rap anthem of the summer and this will be Cardi B’s first ever UK awards-show performance. She is nominated for Best International Act, alongside DJ Khaled, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Solange, and Sza.

Fresh from sending both their mixtape 7 Days and 7 Nights straight into the UK Top 10, Krept and Konan are now set for a major return to the MOBO Awards stage in Leeds on November 29. It was here at the First Direct Arena two years ago that the South London rap duo was crowned Best Hip Hop Act, the first of many career-defining milestones.

Krept & Konan, who took home Best Newcomer at the 2013 MOBO Awards, recently peaked at No. 6 (for 7 Days) and No. 8 (for 7 Nights) on the UK Albums Chart, marking their simultaneous second and third top-10 entry since 2015’s monster UK No. 2 hit debut, The Long Way Home.

One of the UK’s most exciting new emcees, Stefflon Don, will also be unleashing her sickening flow on the MOBO stage in less than three weeks.

The Hurtin’ Me star, who just signed a million-pound deal with Universal, is one of the most nominated acts in this year’s awards, up for the big gongs: Best Female, Best Hip Hop, and Best Newcomer.
