FLOW managing director for engineers’ gala
STEPHEN PRICE, managing director of FLOW Jamaica, will be the guest speaker at the 40th anniversary gala dinner of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers (JIE) at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel on November 25.
A veteran of the telecommunications industry spanning 18 years, Price’s role at FLOW places him at the helm of one of Jamaica’s largest employers of engineers.
A former vice-president of retail sales & distribution at FLOW, Price led the process of consolidating the retail footprint across the country following the merger of the Cable & Wireless and Columbus Business and now leads Jamaica’s more than 800-member team, and has the responsibility for executing the strategy for the converged business.
The JIE gala will see the presentation of the Past President’s Medal by new President Dwight Ricketts to Immediate Past President Dave Barnaby and the presentation of awards to the Engineering Project of the Year as well as Most Outstanding Jamaican Engineering Students at the Caribbean Maritime University, the University of Technology Faculty of Engineering & Computing, and The University of the West Indies, School of Engineering, Mona”.
The first, and only to date, female president of the JIE, Grace Ashley, will receive an award for Excellence in Engineering.
This year, the JIE will mark its 40th anniversary with the presentation of special awards to founders of the organisation.
